The Apple II computer helped launch the personal computer revolution of the late 1970s and 1980s. The Apple II Slices podcast will come out every one to two weeks, and in them I will explore small stories from the history of the Apple II: Its design, the people behind it, the software that made it famous, and the innovations that shaped early personal computing.
Each episode focuses on a single topic from Apple II history and takes about five minutes to tell the story. Topics range from engineering tricks used by Steve Wozniak to influential programs such as VisiCalc, along with the hardware, operating systems, and companies that built the Apple II ecosystem.
Episodes draw on research from this web site, and my book Sophistication and Simplicity: The Life and Times of the Apple II Computer.
